"Current technologies for blockchain fall short of providing what developers and end-users need in order to contract together and to build large scale businesses. We propose EOS, a performance-based and self-governing blockchain that provides an operating system for building large-scale consumer facing distributed applications. This paper outlines the context, vision and software architecture underlying EOS, which we are building to serve a broad and diverse group of users with smart business."
What we don't like:
EOS has yet to be a proven model. Even though the team is being transparent, the code is still being written and the project is not ready. Investing in this project is not going to speed up the development. It is going to take time for the project to come to complete fruition if it is to reach its ambitious goals.
What we like:
EOS is a platform designed to make decentralized app creation easier. One of the features of EOS is smart contracts will not be needed to interact with dapps making it more user friendly. EOS won’t run on Gas making it much cheaper for developers. Database management and account management will be implemented into the platform, unlike Ethereum which needs to be written itself. EOS has been designed to perform 80,000 transactions per second, compared to Ethereum’s 30. The lead developer of the project is Dan Larimer, creator of Steemit and BitShares.
